Laser Hair Removal
Whether we want to or not, we all end up getting rid of hair on our bodies at some point. Women go out of their way to make sure they have perfectly done eyebrows, clear upper lips, no unwanted underarm hair and hair in any other place that can be considered offensive. Men take steps too, to make sure hair on their backs or on the ear lobe are taken care of. All this fuss is caused by society’s expectations. To fit in, society demands that hair that it decides is unsightly must be removed, no matter what the price. But we have to admit one thing – what a pain this can be! In the literal sense or otherwise, removing hair from parts of your body can be quite painful, and it also is a hassle to keep doing every two weeks or every month. And so, we now have laser hair removal methods that will do the job for you and that too in the long run!
Dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons have known the secret of laser hair removal for quite a while, but it wasn’t in widespread use until recently. Now, laser hair removal is used to safely and efficiently remove excess hair from any part of your body.
What does laser hair removal do? The science it’s based on is really simple. The laser beam used is one that only targets melanin in the skin, that is, the ingredient in our system that gives our hair its color. In laser hair removal, the laser beam is directed towards the target area, and it is absorbed by the melanin found in the roots of the hair. Because of this, the hair falls out. Of course, all this is not done immediately but requires repetitive sessions. This means that laser hair removal takes more time than other methods. It is general practice to go to the nearby beauty salon and get that unwanted patch of hair waxed or threaded off, and leave feeling refreshed and ready to be seen, but laser hair removal requires a bit more commitment than that. {But the end result is so 2 months, for results to really show.} Fortunately, laser hair removal ensures that the hair stays away for quite a while, so it’s definitely worth the effort.
